What a single eyeshadow is

One pressed shade in its own small compact.

How it is used. Pack onto the lid with a flat brush, or diffuse through the crease with a fluffy one.

The techniques

Pack
Pat colour onto the lid for full, dense payoff rather than sweeping it.
Blend
Soften an edge until one colour passes into the next without a line.
Windscreen wiper
Side-to-side strokes along the crease to diffuse colour upward.

Flat shader brush

Fluffy blending brush

Also works with a domed blending brush and a sponge-tip applicator.
