What a lip liner is

A firm wooden pencil for outlining the mouth — or redrawing it.

How it is used. Draw the cupid’s bow first, then the corners, then join them; fill in to stop the edge showing.

Draw
A single controlled line, built from short strokes where the hand needs it.
Overline
Draw just outside the natural lip line to enlarge the mouth.
Underline
Draw inside the natural lip line to make the mouth smaller and more defined.
Fill
Colour inside an outline so the shape reads as solid.
